As part of the massive neighbor-to-neighbor outreach to support Waldo Canyon Fire relief, a benefit concert will be held on Independence Day to support victims of the Waldo Canyon Fire and to recognize and honor the firefighters and emergency response teams working to save our city.
Featuring the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, along with appearances by Isaac Slade of The Fray, the Flying W Wranglers, Michael Martin Murphey, and Flash Cadillac, the concert will be a heartfelt tribute to the challenges, individuals, and heroic efforts taking place locally. The event masters of ceremony will include anchors from our local television stations. In addition to the artists above, program highlights include Williams’ Summon the Heroes, the 1812 Overture, America the Beautiful, the Star Spangled Banner, and more.
The concert will begin at 7pm and run until 9pm. If you would like to view the concert, it is being simulcast on most local TV, including Rocky Mountain PBS, and some radio stations, including KRCC and KCME 88.7. The concert will preempt The Grassroots Revival. Carol’s Music Mix will start at 9pm.
